Our family recently took a road trip up to Northern California and on the way down we stopped and visited Hearst Castle. I've never really shot any sort of architecture before, so this was a fun and interesting challenge. It was also obscenely hot... The entrance to the visitor's center is right next to the ocean, so when we saw a traffic sign warning about excessive heat we laughed, it was barely 68 degrees! After a relatively short 10-15 minute bus ride up to the castle we realized why the sign was there, it was over 100.
